Code of Conduct

Purpose

The Forum Artistic Research is committed to providing a inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all participants, including attendees, speakers, performers, workshop leaders, staff, and guests.

We expect all participants to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards, behaving with integrity and showing respect for everyone involved in the event, regardless of their role or background.

This Code of Conduct applies to all activities related to the Forum Artistic Research, including:

This Code applies to all participants, including organisers, presenters, and attendees. It complements and does not replace any relevant laws, institutional policies, or rules of the venue.

Prohibited Conduct

Harassment is any inappropriate or unwelcome behaviour that could reasonably be expected to cause offence or humiliation to another person. All forms of harassment are prohibited at the Forum Artistic Research, including harassment based on:

Sexual harassment is a specific form of prohibited conduct. It includes any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature that could reasonably be expected to cause or be perceived as offense or humiliation. This can be verbal, non-verbal, or physical, and includes written and electronic communications. It can occur between people of the same or different genders.

Reporting Process

If you experience or witness any conduct that violates this Code, please report it as soon as possible. You can contact the event organisers Lucia D’Errico and Uliana Bychenkova. A report can be made in person or by email (lucia.derrico@gmpu.ac.at, uliana.bychenkova@gmpu.ac.at). All reports will be taken seriously and handled with discretion.

Consequences of Violations

Upon receiving a report, the organisers will take appropriate actions, which may include:

Non-Retaliation

Threats, intimidation, or any other form of retaliation against a person who makes a good-faith report or provides information supporting a report are strictly prohibited. Retaliation will be subject to the same consequences as the prohibited conduct itself.
