Katarina Damiani

Katarina Gotic Damiani is a poet whose practice spans experimental writing, translation, performance, and visual art. She is the author of three poetry collections—”we need a breathing tongue between” (kith books, 2024), “where am i in the world?” (2025), and “leerlauf” (parasitenpresse, 2026)—and has developed a series of language-based works exploring translinguality, fragmentation, and the loss of mothertongue(s). Her practice has been supported through multiple institutional grants, including the Work Stipend for Non-German Literature (2023), a Research Scholarship for Translators (2024), and Project and Reading-series Funding (2025) from the Berlin Senate. She is a PhD candidate in Artistic Research at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and lives in Berlin.
