Serena Lee

Serena Lee’s artistic research traces the circulation of energy through transdisciplinary methods and embodied practices. Playing with time-based media — including expanded cinema, movement, performance, installation, sound, writing, and collective study — her projects unfold through situated and collaborative processes. Her research on taijiquan as an aesthetic methodology was shared as an exhibition and study program at Casco Art Institute (Utrecht, NL) in Spring 2025. A third generation Chinese-Canadian, Serena was born in Toronto and is currently based in Vienna, where she completed a PhD at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien.
